Writer, film programer and filmmaker. Peranson is the editor of the magazine Cinema Scope since 2013. Since 2013 he has been the programing director for the Lorcano Festical, after having been part of the selection comitee from 2010 to 2012. He is also asociate programer for the Vancouver Film Festival since 2000. His debut film, Waiting for Sancho (2008), was shown at more than twenty-five festivals worldwide. He starred as Jose in the movie El cant dels ocells (2008). His texts have been published in several countries and in publications such as The Village Voice, Cahiers du Cinéma, Sight and Sound, The Globe and Mail and Film Comment.
