Yes Day

"Ich liebe den Geruch von Limo am Morgen!" Wenn man sein Gehirn ausschaltet, während man Yes Day sieht, hat man immer noch das Gefühl, einen flachen und formelhaften Film zu sehen, der versucht, cool zu sein, aber gleichzeitig ein Thema nicht richtig nutzt, aus dem man sicherlich mehr hätte herausholen können. Außerdem kommt man zu der Überzeugung, dass ein Leben ohne Kinder - auch wenn es für manche vielleicht leer ist - seine Vorteile hat. Jennifer Garner und Édgar Ramírez sind normalerweise gute Schauspieler, aber hier haben sie nichts zu spielen. P. S. Warum musste man eine unnötige Szene mit künstlichen Vögeln in den Film packen?! For a Netflix family comedy, it's a fine entertainment with a nice idea that had me smiling from start to finish. Jennifer Garner and Jenna Ortega are very nice to look at and the idea of parents having to answer everything to Yes is pretty original. The supporting characters are funny (the policeman, the gym teacher with croquet and the paramedic), the film flows well, some of the scenes are downright cool (the party at the house). I have a soft spot for comedies, I laughed more than I expected, so I'm happy to overrate. Together with Instant Family probably the most feel good family comedy in recent times. 7/10. (14.03.2021)
