The Mummy's Hand tells the story of two amateur American archaeologists in Egypt, Steve Banning (Dick Foran) and Babe Jenson (Wallace Ford), who believe that they've found the map to the lost tomb of Princess Ananka in a vase at a bazaar. After enlisting financial help of a nightclub magician, they travel to the tomb. Little do they know they are being pursued by the deadly leader of the cult of Akran. As if that was not enough, they find to be guarded by a living and very deadly mummy--who will do anything to keep the princess's tomb from being defiled. (Verleiher-Text)

Englisch If you like old Universal horror films, you can't go wrong with The Mummy's Hand. This is a very good variation on the mummy theme, especially in the sense that it's not simply a lazy adventure film, because there really are horror elements here that the filmmakers can use to impress even the contemporary, more durable audience. You won't be scared, but it's still a pleasantly chilling film to watch. ()
