Szöszi and Árpi love each other. She is a hair-dresser and he is a confectioner. Szöszi's parents are divorced, and she lives at her grandmother's. Árpi loves his parents, but has long been critical of his brother-in-law, whom he knows to keep a lover. Pista turns the parents against Árpi, and after a row the boy decides to move from home. Then he thinks of something better; why not get married? Szöszi, being as much of a scatter-brain as he, consents. It is summer-time, and the young couple move to the boy's parents' week-end house on Csúcs-hill. As they are unprepared to stand alone, their marriage results in a continuous series of conflicts. They quarrel, and Szöszi moves back to her parents. Árpi, to his great surprise, is persuaded by his father to make peace with her. At first Szöszi is sulky, but her love triumphs over her hurt feelings. They try it again, together. (Verleiher-Text)
