I was a bit surprised that The Vampire and the Ballerina didn't use more special effects and instead used only masks. Here, some scenes literally called for blending of images, which would have looked great, but in the end it was done by simply plain editing, which I think is a bit of a shame. Even so, The Vampire and the Ballerina has its charm and will find fans even in today's age of modern jump-scare horror.
