Der Taugenichts Leo verbringt seine Zeit am liebsten damit, mit seinen Kumpels aus der Videothek abzuhängen und Horrorfilme zu schauen. Als seine Freundin Louise ihm eröffnet, dass sie schwanger ist, gerät er in Panik – sein ganzer Lebensstil ist plötzlich in Gefahr. Nach und nach verliert er jeden Realitätssinnn. Er besorgt sich eine Waffe und versinkt in einer Spirale der Gewalt, vor der auch Louise nicht verschont bleibt. (Silverline Movie Channel)

I originally thought this would be some kind of a side project within the Dealer trilogy. Once I started watching, I quickly realized that it’s not that simple. Nevertheless, this film has one thing in common with that trilogy, the very atmosphere of the Danish underworld. However, that is strongly regulated by Mads Mikkelsen, who already back then proved what a great actor he is, and he was towering over the rest of the Danish cast. His character of a movie mad guy running a video rental store strongly reminded me of Quentin Tarantino’s early life, and it made me laugh a lot. But that was the only thing that was worth the interest in this film. Mads was really superior in quality so that he pushed everyone else to the bottom of the filmmaking craft. If the flick was solely about him, it would be without hesitation a five-star movie.
