Sehr anständig. Fright beginnt zunächst wie ein Horrorthriller über gruselige Häuser, und obwohl es an Filme wie The House of the Devil (2009) erinnert, geht es allmählich in psychologischere Gewässer über. Der Film ist nicht besonders blutig und schon gar nicht brutal, aber er ist schön gefilmt, hat einige starke Momente und entwickelt sich gegen Ende zu einem wahnsinnigen Drama. Besonders erwähnenswert ist die wunderschöne Susan George in der Hauptrolle der tyrannisierten Kindermädchen, die im selben Jahr neben Dustin Hoffman in dem Kultfilm Straw Dogs glänzte.

The British production Fright is a pretty good example of a psychological horror movie. However, this movie is about nothing more than the appearance of evil in the house in the form of a man who is not right in the head and hallucinates people, which eventually leads to everyone present being in danger. However, this movie gels and is filmed in such a good way it really makes you feel quite uneasy.
