Catching Up

Frank, a romantically inexperienced high school teacher with muscular dystrophy, pretends to be dating his best friend so her parents won't find out she's gay. But when his able-bodied childhood crush moves back to town, his desire for a real relationship is unexpectedly awakened. Catching Up plays delightfully with the conventions of a romantic comedy, adapting them to a fresh new perspective, and giving representation to characters that are too often marginalized in cinema.
