Das Beste an der ganzen Serie ist wahrscheinlich die Rezeption, das Loch, das Colin Firth als Darcy in die Welt gerissen hat, und natürlich die Qualität der Verfilmung, denn Romane leiden oft, wenn sie verfilmt werden sollen, aber genauso oft reifen sie, wenn sie in eine Miniserie verwandelt werden können. Es ist gut, die Serie zu kennen, um andere Filme zu sehen, wie Austenland oder Liebe lieber indisch. #BBC

An absolutely faithful adaptation. And that’s the problem; it’s too true an illustration of the book that it’s more like an audiobook where one actor reads you the entire thing. All fifty chapters one after another. Only here as a bonus it’s in motion picture form with a brilliant cast. Apart from that sigh, I can’t fault it. The acting performances couldn’t have been better, the irony more ironic and the sparks flying between Lizzy and Mr. Darcy couldn’t more sparkling. P.S.: Must be seen in the delightful original English language version!
