Nachdem in einem New Yorker Krankenhaus verschiedene Körperteile verschwunden sind, führt die Spur zu einem der Krankenpfleger aus Asien. Die Anthropologin Lori Ridgeway reist auf die Insel Kito, ebenso eine Expedition unter der Leitung von Peter Chandler.
