Auguste Rodin, sculpteur

Even though Rodin seems to be very widely known among the general public, no film has ever been made on the basis of his biography. And yet, the obstinacy of this great sculptor, who was thrice turned down by the Beaux Arts in Paris and who was forty before the barely began getting recognition, is matter of inspiration. His first notoriety, in Brussels, came from the scandal caused by the strange accusation of his having moulded his model for his sculpture. (Verleiher-Text)
