Todesdiagnose

Der letzte Krimi von Petr Schulhoff hat das schöne schwarzweiße Breitwandbild seiner Vorgänger verloren. Ansonsten ist alles Wesentliche geblieben. Eine interessante Geschichte, die präzise und nüchterne Leistung von Rudolf Hrušínský, die Musik von Ivan Blatný und die dichte Stimmung. Mein einziger Vorbehalt betrifft die Darstellerin von Linharts Frau, Drahomíra Hofmanová, die mich nicht besonders beeindruckt hat. (25.01.2015)

"Diagnosis of Death" is not a bad film, it's just a bit too obvious that someone tried to create an American-style plot, which didn't quite work out. However, the film certainly doesn't come across as funny and manages to keep the viewer engaged. And for someone, the final revelation may be a surprise, just like it is for Kalaš. Compared to the film "The Killer Hides His Face," it seems to me that "Diagnosis of Death" is not as well-developed in terms of screenplay and that Kalaš doesn't have such a strong shot at the goal. It is then just a rather ordinary investigation, which is made interesting by the hospital setting and the plot involving a kidney.
