Die 17-jährige Rain Burroughs ist eigentlich eine typische Teenagerin - würde sie nicht unter Schizophrenie leiden. Als Rain nach einem längeren Krankenhausaufenthalt wieder zurück in die Schule kommt, lernt sie dort den charismatischen Caleb kennen, der zu gut um wahr zu sein scheint - und das ist er vielleicht auch... Während Rain versucht ihre Gefühle für Caleb zu sortieren, muss sie zeitgleich die selbstzerstörerischen und manipulativen Kräfte, die versuchen ihren Geist einzunehmen, bekämpfen, damit sie ihr chaotisches Leben zu Hause meistern kann. Beängstigender als all die Stimmen in ihrem Kopf, ist für Rain jedoch die neue Nachbarin. One of those dramatic thrillers where the protagonist suffers from mental problems and the viewer is supposed to feel tense and confused about whether those weird things that happen in the film are real or a product of the protagonist’s condition. You wish. I didn’t give a toss, I find this type of movies extremely boring and uninteresting, and Fear of Rain doesn’t have anything to catch your eye.

Another tedious TV drama where nothing interesting happens. It was supposed to be horror, but it's actually a very soft thriller for teenagers about a schizophrenic girl who suspects her neighbor of kidnapping a child. At the beginning, she has some decent visions, but they soon stop and are followed by the girl's traumas and family troubles. It feels like a movie that could be shown on primetime TV. About nothing. Story**, Action>No, Humor>No, Violence>No, Entertainment**, Music***, Visuals***, Atmosphere**, Tension**. 4/10.
