Body and Bones

Despondent teenager Tess (Kelly Van Den Burg) remains taciturn and overwrought with grief years after the death of her mother. Her sole source of solace is the music of Danny Sharpe (Joel Thomas Hynes), a local musician who left the St Johns’ scene twenty years ago. When the vagabond musician unexpectedly returns to the small town, their connection stimulates an indelible transformation in Tess. What begins as an uneasy friendship escalates into a relationship fuelled by Tess’ infatuation and marred by her idol’s cruelty, as the rudderless youngster desperately attempts to mold herself into something desirable to a calculating loner seemingly incapable of empathy.
