After 50 years in medical practice, Rodolfo retires. His lifelong devotion to his profession has meant that he neglected other aspects of his life, including his relationship with his daughter Laura. When Rodolfo’s housekeeper leaves her 8-year-old son in Rodolfo’s care, Laura returns home to help her father. Her presence will revive old differences, old grudges, and unresolved family matters.
