Der Film handelt von drei Jugendlichen, die ihre Ferien in einem Ferienhaus an der Meeresküste verbringen und auf der Suche nach ihrem ersten Liebesabenteuer sind. Nebenan wohhnt eine Frau namens Dorothy, deren Mann momentan als Pilot an der Front ist. Sie freundet sich mit den Jugendlichen, insbesondere mit Hermie an. Bals bekommt sie die schreckliche Nachricht, daß ihr Mann im Krieg gefallen ist. Voller Trauer und Suche nach Zuwendung kommt es dazu, daß sie Hermie verführt. (Verleiher-Text)

A beautiful romance that is built almost on poetic cinematography and the slow pace of the plot, on pleasant music that is strongly melancholic, and on acting performances that are just adequate enough to make everything believable. Tet the film doesn't try to blackmail you or force you into an awkward ending. It was beautifully shot.
