One Saturday night the doorbell rings. A group of Travellers ask for Bjørn. An elderly woman steps forward: "I am your biological mother. You were stolen by the Norwegian state when you were one day old. It has taken us 45 years to find you." Bjørn gets two years with his biological father before he dies.
What does it mean to be a Traveller? Bjørn watches old Norwegian Traveller films. The Traveller Boy could be his own story. If the movies protagonist follows the Travellers, he will end up in trouble. He renounces his background and remains a Norwegian. What right does the Norwegian state have to steal his identity?
