Ulysses and his friends are navigating the strange and often bewildering city of Los Angeles, oscillating between earnest relationship discussions and surreal sexual adventures. Haunted by recurring nightmares that he believes are indicative of a vast conspiracy, Ulysses is struggling to find his purpose in LA and obsessing over tracking down an elusive dating-app match with whom he shared a seemingly otherworldly hookup. He is grounded by his longtime friendship with Ford, a beefcake screenwriter who is dating Severine, a sexually voracious astrobiological theorist.
