Und wieder ist Freitag der 13

Jason ist zurück und in einer noch nie da gewesenen Form. Außerdem hat er ein wenig zugenommen und aus vergangenen Fehlern gelernt, sodass die Gefahr, dass sein Opfer ihm in den Schritt tretet, nicht mehr besteht. Nein, diese Nacht wird nur ihm gehören... Für mich sind der dritte und vierte Teil von Freitag, der 13. das Beste, was jemals in dieser Serie entstanden ist. Der dritte Teil hat zudem zwei Besonderheiten: Jason trägt endlich eine Torwartmaske, und der Film wird durch den räumlichen 3D-Effekt besonders gemacht, sodass immer etwas in die Aufnahmen hineinkommt und sich einmischt (zum Beispiel sogar ein einfaches Jo-Jo), oder etwas auf einen zukommt oder abgeschossen wird (herausgequetschtes Auge, Harpune oder Machete). Ansonsten ist ein Slasher nicht dafür da, um die grauen Zellen des Zuschauers zu beanspruchen, sondern es geht rein um Morde und den daraus resultierenden Spaß. Ach ja, die Anzahl der Todesopfer bleibt bei 13 stehen, großartig. Fazit? Ein glasklarer Slasher. (31.07.2010)

Miner learned from the mistakes he made like a little schoolboy in the second installment, and his only weakness in this film is his lack of control over the pace (the protracted opening, the drawn-out ending). Jason finally puts on the goalie mask and also finally lives up to the legends that surround him. The kills are spectacular, even almost an exhibition (the harpoon), but the script prescribed a kill list in a predictable package, which in the end (along with the annoying epilogue) forces me to give it a less-than-perfect rating. What cannot be denied about the movie "Friday the 13th Part III" is the one privilege that it hides here. It is a privilege within the series, which is the fact that Jason puts on a goalie mask for the first time here, which he then wears throughout the rest of the series, and which finally made him truly iconic and easily memorable. However, this might be the only reason why it is worth mentioning this film within the series. That is quite a shame. (28.08.2014)
