Der Mittdreißiger Alex ist in Sydney Mathematik-Lehrer. Dass er noch nicht verheiratet ist und keine Familie gegründet hat, bereitet seinen griechisch-orthhodoxen Eltern schlaflose Nächte. Eines Abends trifft er in einer Bar auf Eve. Die Anwältin mit libanesischen Wurzeln und er verstehen sich auf Anhieb blendend. Als deren Familien von der kulturübergreifenden Liaison der beiden erfahren, wird es jedoch turbulent. (ORF)

Clearly, in the end, this confrontation of two religions and cultures is quite naive and actually only serves to make it dramatic enough so that the finale is even more tear-jerking. But the characters, the ease with which humor is presented, and especially the chemistry between the main couple, all appealed to me. It's a nice romance that can make you laugh.
