Christian IV - Den sidste rejse

With nearly 60 years on the throne, Christian IV of Denmark is the longest-reigning monarch in Danish history. His second wife, Kirsten Munk, is known for having openly and flagrantly shown her love for the king’s royal physician, Otto Ludwig von Salms. In Kasper Kalle’s bold debut, he gives this courageous woman a voice in the story of the last journey of the dying King Christian IV. Kalle’s sensuous visual narration is employed to the max in this film that only takes place inside the monarch’s carriage using flashbacks in an ingenious way. (Göteborg Film Festival)
