All the time I was thinking whether this is a feature film or a TV movie for a Wednesday afternoon, to fill the least lucrative television time. I was thinking about this for the entire duration of the film, failing to come to any conclusions even after it was over. A boring romantic flick.

I'm pretty easy. Once I get excited, I just get excited. And also uncritical, because why spoil my joy? After all, this was beautiful. The movie totally managed to take me back to my teenage years, and for that alone it deserves a full score from me. And I'll be sure to watch it again soon.

Ein nett gemachter Film zum Entspannen mit einer relativ originellen Ausgangsidee, die sich vor allem auf die liebenswert rücksichtslose Schauspielerei von Lana Condor und die sympathische Darstellung von Noah Centine stützt. Die erste Hälfte des Films hat mir eindeutig besser gefallen, weil sie einen frischen Ansatz und eine gut gespielte Handlung hatte, während die zweite Hälfte in die Klischees ähnlicher Genrefilme abrutschte. Außerdem musste ich mich manchmal daran erinnern, dass es sich um einen Film aus dem Highschool-Umfeld handeln soll, was durch das oft nervige Verhalten einiger Charaktere unterstrichen wurde. Ich gebe dem Film starke drei Sterne und kann ihn auf jeden Fall zum Ansehen empfehlen - ein nettes und unprätentiöses Movie.

Everything in this high-school romcom followed a fixed formula, so I wasn’t expecting any surprises, and was ready for a lazy, boring film. To my astonishment, I had a pretty good time, so you could say that this undemanding affair improved my day. Plus, its title is similar to one PvE achievement in WoW.
