Emily geht ganz in ihrer Arbeit als Polizistin auf. Als sie in einer chassidischen Gemeinde nach einem Mörder fahndet, findet sie Gefallen an dieser anderen Glaubensrichtung. Obwohl es gegen die Wertvorstellungen der Religionsgemeinschaft verstößt, taucht sie bei der Familie eines Rabbis unter und ermittelt undercover. If I had to recommend a foreigner to others, I could argue the charms of Melanie Griffith, who was still relevant in the early 90s. The film is suitable for fans of klezmer music and superficial enthusiasts of the world of orthodox Jews. The rest, it must be said, is not essential for the art of film. It starts with the screenplay and ends with the direction of Sidney Lumet, who is otherwise known for several exceptional genre pieces. For me, it's more of a below-average crime film. Overall impression: 40%.
