Matilde, 18, lives with her senile grandmother and her anxiety-ridden mother, Laura. She finds solace via her online avatar in a multiplayer fantasy game. Although Matilde is unaware of her mother’s crushing debts, she has also started making money on line in videochat strip shows. When Laura is forced to reveal her financial troubles, Matilde has a plan to help her. It involves Ernesto, a wealthy pharmacy owner. (Montreal World Film Festival)
