Susanne Kreuzer bittet einen Weihnachtsmann, der vor der Bankfiliale ihres Mannes Werbezettel verteilt, kurz auf ihr Baby aufzupassen. Plötzlich sind Kind und Weihnachtsmann verschwunden. Resi, zufällig vor Ort, kümmert sich liebevoll um die Familie und schafft es tatsächlich, den Fall rasch zu lösen. Da wird Benno schon zum nächsten Tatort gerufen. Der als Weihnachtsmann verkleidete, hoch verschuldete Valentin Obermaier wurde erschlagen aufgefunden. Die Hauptverdächtigen geben einander gegenseitig Alibis. (ORF)

You can’t deny the fact that this episode was great in setting up the Christmas mood. Around Christmas I would happily watch this episode again and I am sure it wouldn’t be a mistake. It wasn’t as much about murder this time but rather about fun. Santa may be dead, but a love triangle is at the center of the story and Ben also has a suitress. Originally, I wanted to rate it three stars for a dull storyline, but in the end I will rate it four stars for the fun and a beautiful Christmas atmosphere of Bad Tölz. Even though objectively, this episode is more of a caricature of a good crime drama than a good crime drama.
