Aziraphale is a fussy angel. Crowley is a loose-living demon. They’ve both been on Earth for over 6,000 years. During that time they’ve grown quite fond of it, and, against all odds, each other. But there’s a problem - the Antichrist has arrived here on Earth, which means the world they have become too fond of will end in flames, if they don’t manage to save it. This wildly imaginative and gloriously funny drama follows Aziraphale and Crowley as they join forces in an attempt to find an 11-year-old Antichrist (and his dog) and avert the Apocalypse. Even better than the already excellent original. What made the book remarkable as a supernatural comedy and/or satire is preserved or emphasized, the overcomplicated parts are made more understandable through visual effects, which makes the finale, which felt a little forced to me when I was reading it, into a skillful and lively cherry on top. What's more, Neil Gaiman is not afraid to indulge in the duo of Michael Sheen and David Tennant, because he knows well that most viewers who are not interested in the book came here precisely because of them. Thanks for this bite-sized treat, which splendidly justified the nearly two-year wait.

If you’re not a fan of Terry Pratchett's books, don't watch the series, you won't enjoy it. If you are a zealous devotee of the greatest of carpenters and have no sense of humor, don’t watch the series, or else you might suffer a stroke. If you haven't read anything by the above-mentioned author, you'd better fix that before watching the series, so you know what you're in for. If you have read “Discworld” and “Good Omens”, you will definitely enjoy it. What annoys me about British cinema at the moment is the dumb political correctness. There was a lot of it here that I had to suffer through. As you can tell from the five-star rating, it didn’t stop me from having a great time.
