Das Glasschloß

John Carroll Lynch hat mich sehr positiv überrascht. Er gibt sein Regiedebüt mit Feingefühl und Humor und hat ein fast philosophisches Werk geschaffen, das zu unterschiedlichen Interpretationen anregt. Der Film ist gespickt mit symbolischen Szenen, die der Zuschauer auf seine eigene Weise deuten muss, sodass jeder in diesem Film seinen eigenen "Knackpunkt" finden muss. Lucky kann ein Film über das Altern, das Leben, das Sterben oder verpasste Gelegenheiten sein - und möglicherweise einfach über alles. Wer weiß. Lucky geht unter die Haut. Er hat mich definitiv für sich gewonnen. Der Gigant David Lynch ist in einer Nebenrolle sehr berührend, der eigentliche Star ist jedoch Harry Dean Stanton - dies ist sein Meisterwerk und eines der besten Abschiede auf der Kinoleinwand überhaupt. Also nehmen wir es mit einem Lächeln! (02.07.2018)

A pleasantly elaborate film, which the creators obviously cared about. The masterfully told story and charm of Anna Ondráková cannot be spoiled by the few somewhat naive, but in a way very magical scenes. I really liked the end with the Rovensko Puppet Theater and the whole idea that has been winding through White Paradise since the demolition of the glass castle. (08.04.2021)

We all hate Saša Dobrovolná with the same intensity, but this film also features a fine Vladimir Majer, Lo Marsánová is quite good, Machatý acts a bit better than he did in The Lady with the Small Foot , and the main duo is sympathetically seconded by a quality Josef Rovenský at the end.
