Khaled (Ahmad Alfishawy) ist ein junger Imam in der ägyptischen Hafenstadt Alexandria. Zusammen mit seiner Frau Aisha (Amina Khalil) und seine Tochter lebt er ein nur scheinbar zufriedenes Leben, denn irgendetwas plagt den jungen Scheich. I thought that this will be that typical clash of traditional Muslim values and the Western world in the form of Michael Jackson. But I didn’t expect the writers to force the Muslim faith into the movie this much. Sure, the story was centered around an Imam, but this is too much forced religious faith for me and probably for any democrat.
