Englisch I don't usually give a high rating to films with a calculated emotional impact on the sensitive viewer, but this was an exception. I really enjoyed Claire Foy's performance. I liked how the otherwise dramatic story was laced with dark humor. Most importantly, I was able to totally relate to the main character. If you've never been choking due to a blocked tracheostomy tube, you won’t appreciate how interesting such moments can be. Anyway, the main reason for giving four stars was that I had fun all along. I could have done without some scenes that were filmed just to play on the viewer’s emotions, though. ()

Englisch For a while I wondered if it was going to end up being shallow after all. It is, because you sort of know how it's going to turn out, even though you may not know the story of the man the film is about, but it's so well-acted that the performers convince you that it's worth watching a film like this. Yes, limits can be exceeded. ()

Englisch I noticed that recently there’s been this trend in romantic movies that something happens to one of the people in love in the beginning, and then the film tries to be very awareness-raising, showing everyone that it is possible to live with a handicap of some kind. Difficult, but possible. And at this moment these films based on a tragic event become positive and nice… and it doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t hurt to see that a handicap or sickness doesn’t mean the end of your life; it can be quite the opposite. And it’s beautiful when such a film is based on a real story. I liked it; the story is very romantic so girls should get their tissues ready because it’s a tear-jerker, and the acting performances are also nice. Andrew Garfield gave his best and I was glad to see Claire Foy in a good movie. ()

Englisch To me, Claire Foy is one of the most charming actresses to appear in front of the camera, so I wasn't surprised that she basically "stole" the show. Because if there was one thing that charmed me, it was her strength, courage, and determination. The film has some really nice moments, especially ones that make the viewer laugh or the ones where they see that the art of living is an unparalleled gift. And the fact that the film was produced by their son is also terribly appealing to me. 4 stars. ()
