Laura Gets a Cat

Thirty-two-year-old Laura is coasting, waiting for her life to fall into place like it has for her friends, with houses in the suburbs or gigs on the Jimmy Kimmel show. The draft of Laura's novel is never quite ready, and she can't bring herself to settle down with her supportive, unexciting boyfriend. Even an affair with an intriguing performance artist isn't enough to keep her interest for long. But the harder she works to "be herself," the less satisfying her life becomes. (Cinequest Festival)
