Johanna is going through a difficult time in her life. After a breakup she returns with her son Gabriel to the home where she grew up, hoping to find safe refuge for the two of them. Their snug little world, brightened by the rituals and games they share, is soon disturbed by the arrival of Johanna's father. Although he wants to help his daughter, even against her will, every attempt exposes their fundamental character differences. Now Johanna must face a battle on two fronts: Will young Gabriel continue to respect her as his mother, and will her father finally admit that his once frivolous little girl has grown into an adult woman?
