A new born baby elephant barely has time to acclimatise to his surroundings before he and his herd embark on an arduous journey across hundreds of miles over Sub-Saharan Africa. This trek has been made by these magnificent beasts for thousands of years but as they progress the relentless heat forces the herd to travel more at night. This allows for a showcase of new animals to be recorded for the first time in their natural and nocturnal habitat. Will the matriarch be able to lead her herd and her calf to water? (Viasat)
