In the fifth episode, Elizabeth and the entire royal family were noticeably sidelined, and it left me feeling a bit disappointed. The hint of an anti-government coup involving Lord Mountbatten didn't quite grab me as much as I had hoped. (29.01.2020)

Josh O'Connor was brilliantly chosen for the role of young Charles, and his Welsh adventure kept me thoroughly engaged. The ongoing tension between the English and everyone else seems to be what holds Britain together. It's as if the Welsh, Scots, and Irish dislike the English so much that they stick close to them just to be able to say it to their faces. (30.01.2020)

The seventh episode took a bit of a different turn compared to the rest of the series. It's the kind of episode that could easily split opinions, finding both fans and critics. Honestly, it could have been a snooze fest if it weren't for the deeply insightful dive into the Duke of Edinburgh's psyche. That part alone was almost impressive, and Brutus was absolutely on fire. Once more, we got an episode that might seem unassuming, yet I found myself thoroughly enjoying it. The way they boiled down Edward VIII's abdication to just his romance with a divorced American woman, conveniently sidestepping his flirtation with fascism, was funny. The ninth episode wasn't a standout, but it still hit the mark. Once again, the creators struck a balance between politics and personal dynamics. From the tangled web of government and miners' union relations to delving into deep-seated issues, it kept me hooked. (30.01.2020)

Princess Margaret stole the spotlight in this finale, reminding us why she's such a key player in the series. Besides her tropical adventure, there was also room for serious state affairs, and the third season wrapped up on a high note for me. (30.01.2020)

My expectations of the fourth season weren’t high. I expected another celebration of a person who I hadn’t been very fond of from the outset, but the creators had a massive surprise in store for me. I find this series impressive for its neutral approach. It looks at things from different angles, and everyone gets their share of criticism (or sympathy). It's impossible not to mention again Gillian Anderson's great performance as Margaret Thatcher, which I really enjoyed. Now I can officially look forward to the fifth season. (12.02.2021)

The creators continue to excel in casting, consistently hitting the mark with each character. It's truly fantastic. However, I found the beginning of the fourth season somewhat lifeless — not in reference to Lord Mountbatten's fate, but in the overall atmosphere. (10.02.2021)

Rating the second episode proved to be quite a challenge for me. While it was certainly an improvement over the opening episode, I couldn't shake the feeling that the show's creators are capable of delivering even more. As one of the few dissenters in the Lady Di fan club, her calculated charm has always left me feeling a bit queasy. So, it's safe to say I won't be eagerly anticipating the fourth season. That said, I have to give credit where it's due — Emma Corrin's performance was commendable, whether I like the character or not. However, it was Gillian Anderson's fantastic portrayal that sealed the deal for me, earning that fourth star. Her depiction of the Prime Minister is just as compelling as John Lithgow's Winston Churchill. 4*- (10.02.2021)

This episode was mostly focused on Diana Spencer, and surprisingly, I found it quite enjoyable. Emma Corrin deserves another round of applause for her portrayal; she truly nailed the essence of the character. (10.02.2021)

Episode four finally delivered the proper royal vibe I've been craving, reminiscent of earlier seasons. The plot captivated me this time around, particularly the Queen's amusing interactions with her children. Gillian Anderson's stellar performance adds another layer of excellence, and the introduction of the Falklands "incident" only heightens the intrigue. (10.02.2021)

I felt a slight dissatisfaction with the balance between the war conflict and Michael Fagan's storyline, even though I get that he was supposed to be a symbol for the unemployed masses. Gillian Anderson's presence, however, continues to be a highlight for me. Unlike some Britons, I'm glad that Margaret Thatcher stayed in office for so long, at least I still have something to look forward to:-) (11.02.2021)

Episode six was a breath of fresh air, proving that the creators weren't afraid to stray from the beaten path, even if it meant facing backlash from die-hard fans of the supposed "perfect" princess. Unlike some filmmakers, they embrace diverse viewpoints and refuse to put one neurotic character on a pedestal. It's a refreshing departure from the norm. (11.02.2021)

Initially, I braced myself for a lackluster plot, fearing the creators would resort to mere "filler" material. Yet, to my surprise, the episode exceeded my expectations. Even though I consider myself a cynical bastard, it seems that there is always room for growth, and things can always get a little worse... (11.02.2021)

Sometimes I wonder if I should still watch The Crown or if it's time to focus on the series C. 10:-) Gillian Anderson takes up all the space for herself in every scene, and I definitely don't mind. Thanks to her, the episode was quite fulfilling, and that counts. (12.02.2021)

My concerns about the portrayal of the Princess of Wales in the fourth season were quickly dispelled right from her first appearance. The creators approached her character in a completely different light, and this episode only solidified that for me. Great satisfaction all around. (12.02.2021)

The season's grand finale was almost perfect, except for one big flaw - the departure of Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson) from the series. I already know I'm going to miss her. However, the main focus of the episode on the relationship between Charles and Diana was a welcome one, as it wasn't about romance, but more like a softer version of the War of the Roses. (12.02.2021)
