Harriet Lauler hat als erfolgreiche Geschäftsfrau nichts dem Zufall überlassen, und so hält sie es auch in ihrem Ruhestand. Die junge Journalistin Anne Sherman soll für sie bereits zu Lebzeiten einen Nachruf verfassen. Nach Harriets Stichwortliste beginnt sie von Exmann Edward über Tochter Elizabeth bis zur Friseurin alle zu befragen. Von niemandem bekommt Anne etwas Gutes zu hören. Dementsprechend fällt ihr erster Entwurf enttäuschend aus. Selfmade-Woman Harriet ist wild entschlossen, dies zu ändern. (ORF)
