Die New Yorker IT-Konzernchefin Carol Vanstone kennt keine Gnade. Kurz vor Weihnachten kommt sie nach Chicago, um die Schließung der von ihrem Bruder Clay geleiteten Filiale zu verkünden. Ein finanzkräftiger Partner müsste gefunden werden, um dies zu verhindern. Und genau das will Clay mit seinem technischen Direktor Josh bei der Weihnachtsfeier der Firma erreichen. Gemeinsam planen sie das ultimative Fest aller Feste. Zu dumm, dass Carol auf dem Weg zum Flughafen davon Wind bekommt und dem wilden Treiben ein jähes Ende setzen will. (ORF)

I watched this film just for its cast. I had no idea what it was going to be about, and I'm only half satisfied. The film had some great moments, as well as dull ones. Given that it's set at Christmas, its ending is clearly predictable. The best moments happened at the party, which also explained to the viewer the difference between snow and snow. Olivia Munn was good to watch, which cannot be said for Kate McKinnon.

It could have been even funnier, but there are such hillbilly characters here that sometimes they just annoyed me. Jennifer Aniston is a bit boring, but her character is poorly written in terms of development. On the other hand, Olivia Munn is always beautiful and I just can't get enough of her. I enjoyed every scene with her, she even made me laugh.

This comedy seems like it has momentum until one realizes that it lacks humor. Then you just impatiently wait for the parade of awkwardness and misery to end. Even Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston couldn't do anything with it. (40%)
