Denok and Gareng were street kids when they met. They hoped to be able to start a new life together. But with every step forward misfortune follows. Like Sisyphus, the young family slaves away at their pig breeding but they get nowhere. They have problems with alcohol; a traffic accident leads to a stay in hospital and the school fees for their children are overdue.
