Drei unterschiedliche Liebespaare aus drei Generationen stehen im Zentrum dieser packenden und bewegenden Geschichte, mitten in der aufgewühlten Stadt Athen: Die Studentin Daphne wird bei einem Überfall vom syrischen Flüchtling Farris gerettet. Der Abteilungsleiter Giorgos beginnt eine Affäre mit der schwedischen Businessfrau Elise. Die Hausfrau Maria lernt im Supermarkt den aus Deutschland ausgewanderten Professor Sebastian kennen. Und das Leben von ihnen allen wird erfasst von den sozialen Umbrüchen im Griechenland von heute. (Kairos Film)

This is probably the best Greek film I have seen so far. It very nicely combines the situation in Greece after the financial crisis with the enless lines of migrants who are heading from the Near East to Europe. I enjoyed the three stories – they intertwined in the movie very nicely. Even the actors themselves were great. I was really surprised by the director who also took an acting part in the movie and who put in an absolutely excellent performance. I was also surprised that he managed to talk J. K. Simmons into acting in his project – in the past few years, he has been experiencing a great acting renaissance and wherever I see him, I really admire him. If you wish to see Greece’s answer to what it thinks about the crisis or about Syria, just watch this film.
