Englisch Ray is a schizophrenic who falls in love with a girl and Pete is his brother who worries about him. Perhaps that's how one could sum up this simple story, but at the same time it’s an impressive probe into the complex inner world of the schizophrenic mind. It’s well written and brilliantly acted. Some scenes are very "for effect" (Ray naked on the street, building a spiral out of garbage bags or the scene when Ray tries to set himself on fire), but they do not spoil the final impression. Daniel Craig in the title role is really excellent, the story is captivating and doesn't slip into cliché. Thank God for CT2, thanks to it you can come across such inconspicuous treats that wouldn't stand a chance on other channels. ()

Englisch Daniel Craig acts so well here that I’m able to ignore the fact that sometimes the creators decided that they won’t explain a lot of things, and there is nothing left for the viewers than to explain it for themselves. The biggest issue in this respect here is probably the finale, where I have no idea how the creators came up with it. But I have no choice but to trust those who are telling the story. Other than that, however, it was a very nice movie. One moment it is funny and in the next scene you almost forget to breathe with suspense. And that’s the reason why overall this movie made me really excited. ()
