This story isn't as surprising as it might want to be, it certainly doesn't shock, even though there are some classic conventions pushed a little further. However, it's precisely this crossing that feels so naturally portrayed to me that I liked the film, despite its slow pace and ultimately a conclusion that hardly resolves anything.
