Normalerweise verschaffen sich Einbrecher unbefugten Zutritt, nehmen Wertgegenstände mit und verschwinden wieder. Nicht so bei Familie Miller. Gerade aus dem Urlaub zurückgekehrt, müssen sie feststellen, dass sich ein Einbrecher tagelang in ihrem Zuhause eingenistet hatte. Vom Täter fehlt jedoch jede Spur. Aber auch nachdem die Verwüstung im Haus beseitigt wurde, fühlen sie sich unwohl und werden das Gefühl nicht los, dass etwas nicht stimmt. Zu Recht: Der unbekannte Eindringling hat das Haus der Millers nie verlassen, sondern beobachtet sie über versteckte Kameras rund um die Uhr und greift mehr und mehr in ihr Leben ein. A very, very good concept and the most original use of the found footage format in a long time. Here, the security cameras were not put by a family being haunted by a demon. No, they were put by a pervert who gets off on watching unsuspecting victims. And if that wasn’t enough, he hides in their attic. Brrr! Unsettling and realistic, but I feel that the concept itself was stronger than the experience from the resulting film. What exactly could have been done differently and better, I don’t know.

You fool, another found footage. And what will it bring that's new? Well, actually nothing at all, but that's not what we expect from this genre anyway. The quite distressing, or rather paranoid, situation is utilized to unfold a typical story, where you are just waiting to see if something terrifying will happen or not. Here, you do see it, and some scenes manage to surprise. The finale is good.
