Karel is a passionate gamekeeper, he has been taking good care of the forest. In a remote part of the forest poachers waken a creature who could prove to be Karel's equal. In fairy tales, this creature is called Leshy, but meeting it is definitely no fairy tale. Who will become the true ruler of the forest? (MFFK Febiofest)

An excellent Czech short film that looks very mature and professional in its 23 minutes. Beautiful Czech woods, a gamekeeper, a daughter, a cabin, and a forest demon from Czech folklore. Visually solid, the make-up of the demon is perfect, the performances are decent, and the atmosphere is nice. The only disappointing thing here is the fact that it's not a feature film, as this has the potential to break through even in the World. Pavel Soukup has talent. 8/10.
