Die lebensfrohe Lou findet in ihrem kleinen walisischen Heimatdorf nur schwer einen passenden Job. Das Angebot, auf dem herrschaftlichen Anwesen der Traynors zu arbeiten, kommt ihr gerade recht. Als Gesellschafterin soll sie sich um deren 34-jährigen Sohn Will kümmern. Seit einem Unfall ist er an den Rollstuhl gefesselt. Verbittert, zynisch und launisch lässt der einst erfolgreiche Banker und sportliche Frauenschwarm niemanden mehr an sich heran. Lou kommt ihm mit ihrem sonnigen Gemüt immer näher, bis Will ihr überraschend seine wahren Absichten eröffnet. (ORF)
