30 Jahre nach der Schlacht gegen die Untoten arbeitet Ash als Aushilfskraft im Supermarkt. Sein ereignisloses Leben ändert sich schlagartig, als er erneut über das fluchbeladene Necronomicon stolpert. Wieder schafft es der trottelige Ash, zahllose Dämonen aus dem Buch auf die Erde loszulassen. Entsetzt will er aus dem Städtchen abhauen. Doch daran wird er von seinen Kollegen Pablo und Kelly gehindert. Nun holt Ash erneut die Kettensäge raus. (RTL Crime)

I was curious about what to expect from the series, I didn't know if it would follow the spirit of the original horror or if it would be more of a horror comedy, like the second installment. However, the creators clearly opted for a comedy infused with brutal violence. I didn't find horror in the first episode, but the combination of humor and bloody massacre worked very well for me and I had a great time.
