Tom erlebt auf seiner Geburtstags-Party eine Überraschung. Die Frosch-Forscherin Alice, die sein Freund Clyde mitgebracht hat, erinnert ihn stark an seine einstige Flamme aus der College-Zeit. Seit sie damals spurlos verschwunden ist, hat Tom nichts mehr von ihr gehört. Als er erfährt, dass Alice ihre Identität schon mehrmals geändert hat, taucht er in ihre abenteuerliche Vergangenheit ein. In verschiedenen Ländern und völlig unterschiedlichen Berufen hat Alice schon einiges erlebt. (ORF)

51st KVIFF - terribly uninteresting and boring. I slept through almost half of it, but, according to what my mate told me, I didn’t miss anything.

Michael Shannon is one of my favorite actors, and I know that no matter where I see him, he just never disappoints me - and he didn't disappoint me in this film either, where he has a great companion in Rachel Weisz. Despite its conversational nature, I enjoyed their story about truth and human identity, precisely because of their acting performances.
