Schon als kleiner Junge fasst Antoine (Jean Rochefort) den Entschluss, später eine Friseuse zu heiraten. Tatsächlich gelingt es ihm als erwachsener Mann diesen Kindheitstraum zu verwirklichen und er findet in der schönen und sinnlichen Mathilde (Anna Galiena) die Erfüllung seines Glücks. It is a very difficult movie and not a comedy at all. Jean Rochefort and Anna Galiena tell a story of how far love can go. And everything is tender, natural and beautiful, until it goes beyond the line of common sense about how far love should go. However, some scenes were worth it. They made me bate my breath and I believe that I was not the only one. The finale knocked me down so hard that I wouldn’t expect it from a story that was at times so absurd. However, for that finale I give the fourth star, because thanks to it I again became a part of the classic French movie, which does not spare anyone, ever.
