Optical axis is the imaginary line, which represents the light traveling through a lens. The film by Marina Razbezhkina takes us through two lenses as the film crew travels to the original shooting locations of hundred year-old photographs in Nizhny Novgorod. The homeless, the strippers, the factory workers, and the doctors all take their turns to compare the past with the present. A lot has changed during those hundred years, and the camera brings the past beautifully present.
