Coast Guard Cape Disappointment – Pacific Northwest

The series focus on daring rescue teams who work for the United States Coast Guard at Sector Columbia River. The men and women stationed here take on treacherous challenges dealt to them by the infamous Columbia River bar - known as "the Graveyard of the Pacific" because of its tumultuous, unpredictable maritime environment. The unique rescues carried out where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean sees helicopter teams and motor lifeboat crews responding to distress calls that include boaters lost at sea, ships running aground, mariners injured on the job and many other inland and maritime search and rescue scenarios where the primary obstacle is mother nature.
