Englisch How dare they say that Slovakia doesn’t have talented directors? This short-story movie proves that the talent is there, at least. It’s just a shame that they’re mostly invested in politics, because since the first short story started, I couldn’t get rid of the feeling that that’s all it was about. The best short story was by Juraj Herz; both idea-wise and filmmaking-wise. The last one about Finland’s invasion of Slovakia was also great. Finland was a great fit for that situation, the author couldn’t have picked a better country for it. Also, the short story about the guy who went to America when he was young was pretty cool – he spent his life there, only to come back to visit his family, which made him realize why he left in the first place. That was quite rough. The rest wasn’t that bad, but it didn’t leave me with as many emotions as these three did. I watched this for the Challenge Tour 2015. ()

Englisch There are bits of quality in this. We get the lovely acting etude of Emilia Vášáryová and Milan Lasica. Juraj Herz also has something resembling an idea here. But everything else could be used as an argument for why nothing works in Slovakia. And that's too bad. ()
