Tadjrebeh

Kiarostamí's early story about a poor orphan who loves a girl from a rich family contains the tension typical for all his works. A story, which at the beginning seems like as a simple, neorealistically staged melodrama, changes into a metaphor of human loneliness, and of a society in transformation, stuck between memories and fantastic visions of the future.
