Ein neuer Mega Shark bedroht die Menschheit. Um ihn zur Strecke zu bringen, lässt die Regierung ein U-Boot, das wie ein Hai aussieht, konstruieren – noch größer als der echte. An Bord ist auch Militärwissenschaftlerin Rosie, unter deren Kommando dem Urzeitvieh auf den Leib gerückt werden soll. (TELE 5)

"Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark" clearly shows that crazy ideas exist - and I'm very glad about that - but unfortunately, there aren't enough financial resources to ensure better special effects. The outdoor scenes, however, don't look too bad in places, and they are actually more tolerable than I expected. The main characters are exactly the ones you will laugh at for the nonsense they say, but that's part of it. This is a terrible B-movie, and maybe that's why I liked it. In its genre, it occasionally reaches the average level, but I can overlook that a bit.
